Yael holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from HIT (Holon Institute of Technology) and a Master's degree in Industrial-Medical Design from the Technion. Her thesis research focused on integrating 3D printing technologies and microcontrollers to develop interactive systems for making museums accessible to blind visitors.
Currently, Yael leads a multidisciplinary research lab at HIT specializing in medical technology research and development. Her professional experience, gained at HIT and ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem, includes developing design and technological solutions for clinical challenges, which are currently in use and in clinical trials.
Yael lectures at HIT in various courses dealing with design and technology for special needs, digital manufacturing technologies for accessibility, and interaction design and human-computer interfaces (HCI) for rehabilitation needs. She has also developed a unique training program in the field of 3D printing for personalized medicine.
